Coro Aurora Borealis Rhinestone White Enamel Openwork Petal Stemmed Flower Pin Brooch

Coro Aurora Borealis Rhinestone White Enamel Openwork Petal Stemmed Flower Pin Brooch
Materials and Features
Openwork Slatted Petal Engineering: A celebrated technical configuration of the Coro workshop featuring a dimensional, layered flower head constructed from fine openwork stamped metal slats to create a light, airy floral frame.
Prong Set Aurora Borealis Cluster: Centered with a low-profile crown cluster of seven individually prong-set round Aurora Borealis crystal rhinestones that project an iridescent, multi-colored flashing shimmer, anchored by an eighth matching companion crystal accent set lower along the foliage branch intersection.
Stippled Texture Foliage: Detailed with a sweeping wire stem anchoring twin cascading leaves finished with a high-relief "nubby" textured stippled surface, heavily coated on the face in a crisp white cold-painted industrial enamel layer.
Solid Non Magnetic Brass Substrate: Built entirely on a premium, non-ferrous solid brass alloy chassis that is completely non-magnetic throughout the body, exposed beautifully via localized vintage paint loss on the reverse to reveal the warm golden base metal beneath.
Type: Horizontal safety stem assembly with a mechanical roll-over locking clasp mechanism
Age/Origin: Circa 1955 - 1961 / USA
Marks: Unmarked (Attributed to Coro based on documented reverse brass washer construction plates, signature dual stippled leaf tooling, and iconic open-slat petal arrays)
Measurements
Weight: 9.6g (including findings)
Thickness: 11.5mm (Total dimensional profile height from rear clasp to center stone peak)
Dimensions: 2.5 inches total vertical stem length x 1.75 inches across the main leaf span
Condition
Very Good Vintage Condition. The brooch displays gorgeous color contrast and total structural integrity. All eight individual iridescent Aurora Borealis crystal rhinestones are fully present and locked tight within their original prongs, projecting immense internal fire with zero foil degradation or deadening. The white enamel face plating remains exceptionally bright and glossy across the main petals and foliage. The reverse and outer edge margins exhibit normal, honest, age-appropriate minor paint chipping and edge wear along the rear wire curve and clip plates, beautifully confirming the underlying solid brass composition. The long pin stem remains straight and locks firmly into the rollover clasp.
