Payments
PURCHASING AND PAYMENTS All items listed on Prairie Vintage Jewelry are in Canadian funds. Shipping costs are also shown in Canadian funds. All quotes sent outside of the standard PVJ checkout will be made in Canadian funds. When emailing a request for invoice outside of the standard PVJ check-out, the total amount owed will also be in Canadian funds. We do not accept foreign currency, please use services at bank to convert funds into Canadian prior to making any payments. If paying with Paypal please ensure you are paying with Canadian funds. Policies apply to USA & International buyers as well.
To pay by credit card, or direct bank transfer from your checking account, we suggest that our customers use www.paypal.com. It's fast, it's free [for buyers] and most importantly it's secure.

If the PVJ standard checkout system isn’t working correctly or not showing your preferred payment option - please send us an email so that we can send you a quote and work out the payment options available to you.
CHEQUES OR MONEY ORDERS If you prefer to pay by cheque or money order [ Postal Money Orders - if paying from the USA to Canada are accepted however Please verify with financial institution that the money order you intend on sending is negotiable in Canada. Otherwise it will not be accepted as payment ], your item(s) will be placed on hold for 10 days pending receipt of payment, as soon as we receive your confirmation order and when you've indicated that the payment has been mailed. Payment should be received within that time, otherwise the item(s) will again be available for sale and your order will be considered void. In special cases and if payment is being mailed from overseas, this can be extended.
For cheques or money order, please make cheques payable to Lenda Peters [not Prairie Vintage Jewelry]. Please ask clerk or teller prior to mailing the money order whether it is negotiable in Canada, certain US and INTERNATIONAL POSTAL money orders are no good in Canada and will not be accepted as payment. We will ship your order immediately upon receipt if you pay by money order, but cheques may be held until they clear -- around approx. 10 business days, unless our bank states otherwise.
For overseas customers who don't want to use paypal, payment should be in the form of a Canadian bank cheque drawn on a Canadian bank form of payment. Because of the high bank processing fees, we cannot accept direct bank transfers except under special circumstances [please inquire].

SHIPPING For shipping charges outside of what’s already listed in the standard PVJ checkout, will be quoted to you via email once we receive your order inquiry specifying shipping destination & your preference on insurance. [Emails checked every 48 hours, if we have not got back to you within that time then it means that your email was never received by us or it may be in a spam folder, and you may have to resend the email order].

If during checkout shipping costs do not seem correct - either exorbitantly high or not showing at all -please send us an email so that we can fix the error or send you a quote instead.

Orders are generally shipped via Canada Post though for larger parcels, arrangements may be made to use FedEx Ground. In some cases the shipping costs are dependent on size, and the packaging materials used to provide for safe transit. We sell various fragile items and need to ensure safe transit. The shipping rates are based on dimensions and weight using the Canada Post's website rates, which at times may be slightly off from actual shipping costs. Any customs, duties or other fees that may incur after package has been shipped is the sole responsibility of the buyer and PVJ will not be held responsible for any additional fees that may incur. Postage may be slow especially during the holidays, or internationally, we apologize greatly for this, but unfortunately we can not be held responsible for customs or mailing systems once the parcel leaves our hands. This is why we recommend that all item be shipped with insurance, This will allow us to provide the buyer with a delivery confirmation tracking number, such as this example: CX 170 772 035 CA.

INSURANCE + TRACKING
Insurance and tracking is available though it can be only be requested by the buyer by requesting a quote before placing an order. Please do not use the PVJ standard checkout if you would like us to ship the parcel with insurance coverage or provide a tracking number. We can only allow coverage for the maximum amount allowable by Canada Post, and only cover what Canada Post rules allow.

Returns
RETURNS We are committed to resolving any and all issues to your satisfaction, because we would love for you to return to us and shop with us again and again! Unfortunately, not everyone is honest though we understand that we all make honest mistakes, including us. The below is our general rules regarding returns - please do not purchase from PVJ if you are not in agreement with our terms.
Only regular priced items may qualify for a refund, unfortunately all SALE items and items listed in the ‘UNDER $20’ shop are final sale and no refunds will be issued including any items sold on market place listings or kijiji.
We size all rings to the best of our ability, though we highly recommend verifying your ring size before making a purchase, we can not return rings that do not fit due to incorrect or inaccurate measurements made on either end, ring sizes are made with a standard sizing tool and we do our very best to list the size as close as possible.
We do NOT ship merchandise on 'approval' -- please be sure that you want an item before ordering and if you have any questions about it, be sure that those questions are resolved before ordering. We will gladly email additional pictures or information upon request. If upon receipt you have a problem with your purchase, please let us know via e-mail as soon as possible --- within 3 days of its arrival.
Returns which are sent without our prior knowledge will not be refunded. Items which are not returned within a ten business day period after we have been notified by the buyer will be considered sold. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item, therefore we encourage returned items be sent with tracking.
The ten day return period discourages items from being bought and worn for special occasions and functions before being returned for a refund. No postage or shipping costs will be refunded on returned merchandise and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
There will be a 5% restocking fee deducted from any refunds that we must process. This fee covers the activity involved in the back-end process once a product has been sold and then must be re-listed again. This goes for all product regardless if it has been shipped or not, even if the refund request is within 24 hours of the original purchase being made.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed less shipping costs and the 5% restocking fee, a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment*. [*We do not offer refunds on cheque or money order payments].
We are not responsible for lost or damaged items/payments through the mail, however we will ensure that we will do all that we can to help the buyer in anyway that we can.
We understand that there may be things that come up AFTER a payment has been made in which the buyer has changed their mind about a purchase due to a misunderstanding or some other reason. Therefore we highly encourage all buyers to ask ALL questions prior to making a payment to prevent returns and associated fees.
