Art Deco 1920’s "Stair-Step" Geometric Blue Slag Glass Silver Bar Brooch
Materials and Features:
Vitreous Blue & White Slag Glass: A hand-set rectangular slab featuring high-swirl "Blue Sky" saturation, characteristic of early 20th-century artisanal glasswork.
High-Gauge "Stair-Step" Architecture: A bold, multi-tier geometric silver frame inspired by the ziggurat motifs of the 1920s Machine Age.
Mechanical Claw Mounting: Heavy-gauge silver prongs hand-crimped over the glass for maximum structural security.
Imitation Marcasite Shield Detailing: Intricate, die-struck metallic accents providing the subtle glitter of faceted pyrite.
Mixed-Purity Silver Alloy: A high-density 65%–75% silver-tested frame, offering a durable, archival weight that resists the warping of modern alloys.
Mechanical Integrity: Precision lever safety catch with a heavy-duty pin for a secure "Survivor" closure.
Age/Origin: c. 1920
Marks: Unmarked
Measurements:
Weight: 9g (Substantial "Investment" Density)
Dimensions: Approx. 2.25 Inch length x 0.625 Inch wide
