The Story: Alfred Sung is a Canadian fashion designer and businessman. He is well known for producing apparel, fragrance, accessories and home fashions for women and men. He was born in Shanghai and raised in Hong Kong. Sung is the brother of late Hong Kong actress Lydia Shum.

In 1986, Alfred Sung became the first Canadian designer brand to be traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Within the same year, Sung developed the first of what would turn out to be many fragrances: "Sung" Alfred Sung. It quickly became the best-selling fragrance in Canada in its debut year.
