The Story: This design is shown in a 1963 Monet catalog and is called "Cordelia." (Cordelia is a white flower with pink edges and is a type of begonia.) Also featured in Alice Vega's book ‘Monet The Master Jewelers’ on page 173 and 174.
The Monet company, previously known as Monocraft, initially created monogrammed bags before moving into costume jewelry. Their popularity surged following WWII, as their clean and tailored designs appealed to the new female workforce. In the 1980s Monet designed for Yves St Laurent. Their vintage pieces are highly valued by collectors for their innovative designs and meticulous detail.
